Multitasking- The Plan of getting adjusted in this Hasty World.
We all are living in a hasty world and this thing only tends to make us a multitasker, I think you agree. Actually, when I discuss about Multitasking with someone he/she used to have just one thought and that is Time Management! Yeah, I agree time management is requisite, but what I think is that Multitasking is a skill of doing multiple tasks at a time, what I mean is that it’s more than time management. Time management is just a part of the plan to do Multitasking. But how to do it? We never thought of it.
So our plan isn’t like that you have to make a table or anything. It’s actually based on time but not exactly like time management. We do multitasking that’s good but we do it in so hurrying, don’t we? See this is my personal experience too but doing this doesn’t make us comprehensive. What we can do is that just try to do many tasks in small bits that are fair enough for our capability. I mean doing each task slowly, taking small small steps. These small steps can make us reach our destination in a very good way. And I call this plan as Slow-Motion Multitasking.
Now you would ask, how can I be right? And that’s a pretty good question! See, everyone has their own thoughts, besides I’m even one of them. What I’ve observed is that people like a good pace in their work and that’s good you should have a good pace but what about the comprehension? Usually, they don’t look at this, You may have heard about the story of a rabbit and tortoise race, when rabbit reaches the 3/4th of the race, he decides to take rest as tortoise was far behind, but what happens everyone knows , Tortoise wins! And this was because Rabbit forgets about his main aim, similarly, when we do multiple tasks at a time at a fast pace, we forget what was our aim!
See, we all are having different fields, but if I talk about mine, the greatest example of Slow Motion Multitasking was of Sir Albert Einstein. In 1905, Einstein published 4 research papers about which we know today, and his success was lying on Slow-Motion Multitasking only. He made his path studying about different observations but at a slow pace, which resulted in this.
Not only Einstein but all great people of every field had this skill of Slow Motion Multitasking, which resulted in their success. It’s absurd to do anything which we don’t understand, similar is the case with Multitasking, Slow Motion is it’s core part which we should attain and about which we should take care of.
There’s always a question of how Multitasking can have impact on our efficiency? And I always say why can’t we take a good impact. See, everyone has their own opinion but should that opinion be bad only? Doing Multitasking can actually increase our efficiency, how am I saying this? The proof is that we get to learn how to do many things at a time and by doing this we actually learn a lot of way maybe a shortcut or a long cut to do a single work. Isn’t that great? Knowing the procedure of doing one work can take many forms because you got to do other work too.
So my way of thinking says Multitasking actually increases our efficiency of doing more tasks.
So now I think we all are ready to be a multitasker with a good plan. And remember if you are not able to multitask, don’t lose hope, try to do small bits of work and ultimately you will become the best of yourself.
